Products by Rees Cable/Rope Operated Switches A cable switch is a mechanical device used to make or break one or more electrical circuits from a semi-remote area through the pulling of a rope or cable. The cable, attached to the operating ring or lever of the switch, is installed with multiple supports in close proximity to the individual(s) who require control, of the circuit. The pulling of the cable anywhere along its entire length will actuate the switch and either turn on or off the circuit it is connected into. One switch and cable can cover a distance of up to 200 feet for some model numbers. There are 44 different models to choose from. They may vary in construction from rope operated light duty styles to cable operated heavy duty tapes. Forty models are listed with UL and CSA. Most models are manual reset styles. There are also automatic reset types along with specialty items such as sequence operators and broken cable detection. Single Plunger Pushbutton Switches Single plunger pushbutton switches are heavy duty, hand operated devices normally used in circuit control to operate electromagnetic devices. These switches are available with flat or mushroom shaped plungers constructed from zinc die cast or plastic. The zinc die cast switch cover has a dry powder coat finish to resist wear and abrasion. Each switch is supplied with a solid neoprene gasket which provides and oil tight seal upon installation. All necessary mounting hardware is provided with each switch. Most switches are UL/CSA approved.
Double Plunger Pushbutton Switches Double plunger switches consist of various combinations of the single plunger pushbutton switches. These switches also have a zinc die cast cover painted with black dry powder paint to resist wear and abrasion. They are supplied with a solid neoprene gasket and mounting hardware. Numerous accessory items including enclosures, adapter plates and legend plates are available for these switches. These switches are generally used in applications that require opposite function control, such as, "Start/Stop" or "Up/Down" or "Forward/Reverse". There are a number of different contact arrangements offered with different operator styles. These designs have been serving the industry for over sixty years.

Heavy Duty Industrial Switches Heavy duty switches offered include cylindrical pushbuttons, machine limit switches and a universal limit switch. The cylindrical pushbuttons are available with a zinc, brass, or plastic outer shell. Plunger colors include zinc, or black, red or green plastic. Large and small body diameters are offered. The machine limit switches are available with right or left hand operation and also with or without a roller arm for actuation. They contain a snap action switch mechanism in a zinc die cast housing.
