The sophistication of the refinish industry continues to increase, in terms of both product technology and the business management skills required for success. BASF enables its customers to grow and excel in both areas.

At the core of BASF training is an extensive curriculum of classes in product knowledge and use, refinish techniques, troubleshooting, specialty finish repair, and color matching. In addition, BASF offers many courses on business management, profitability, and productivity enhancement.

ATC Training Facility

BASF's commitment to the industry - and training - is exemplified by the North American Refinish Application & Training Center. State of the art describes not only the ATC itself, but also the training curriculum that is offered.

The BASF North American Refinish Application & Training Center (ATC) in Whitehouse, Ohio, features a shop area and classrooms with individual computer workstations.

A tour through the interior of the ATC bespeaks professionalism at every turn. The vast shop area features three downdraft prep stations, two downdraft booths (one with environmental controls to simulate different weather conditions), a semi-downdraft booth, and a bake oven.

One booth and its adjacent side-loading oven form the DeVilbiss 2000 System. Two more free-standing booths have windows on all four sides for maximum teaching and observation. Adjacent to the spotless mixing room are two 10' by 10' walk-in spray booths, each with a movable partition to create a total of four walk-in spray booth areas.

In addition to a full spectrum of technical courses for body shop and jobber personnel, BASF provides training for our OEM partners, business and marketing classes for jobbers and body shops, and other diverse courses.

BASF is committed to identifying the technical and informational solutions that serve your needs as a business, and to playing an active role as a partner in putting those solutions to work in your facility.
