Summit Place
Barricade Mural - 1993
The objective was to do away with "shanty" type barricades covering vacant spaces throughout Summit Place, a shopping complex in Oakland County, Michigan. Upon evaluation, Gnotek Studio created a series of murals painted on fresh sheet-rock walls. All reflecting the "Fashion. Fun. Family." theme at that time. Subjects were all people including men, women and children fashioned in the same graphic style - huge, handpainted (oo-sable brush) halftones. Seven murals total.
