June Roche-The Streets & Runways of Europe Now
Invitation for GM Design Staff - 1997
For several years Gnotek Studio created invitations and posters on behalf of Milliken automotive fabrics for June Roche shows to GM, Ford and Chrysler design staffs. The purpose of these fashion extravaganzas is to show automotive designers upcoming trends in fashion. This one for a show at the GM Design Dome was a full-color 8-1/2x11 four-pager. Several sexy photographs were provided, but the only requirement for inclusion was the line drawing (used on the cover) provided from Roche. The rest was left to Gnotek Studio's discretion. However, June Roche in New York City wanted to view the proofs before printing. This was accomplished via CyberAlley's website and stands as an early example of utilizing the Internet in such an efficient manner. On the inside, the background textures were from actual cloths at Milliken. Posters were made from the inside spread.
