The Township and Village of Milford is approx. 45 miles
NW of Detroit. A quaint bedroom community, nestled
among farms, hills, rivers, dozens of lakes and abundant
state land and parks.
The Village of Milford is a centennial town, dating back
to the late 1800's where the area's rivers, including the
Huron River which connects to Lake Erie, allowed easy
trade access and the area's numerous grist mills fed
Milford's prosperity.
Though the area, particularly Milford Township and Highland
Township to the north, has recently seen tremendous growth,
the Village has remained unchanged for dozens of years,
retaining its quaintness and country charm.
