What is the language of the universe but mathematics, thus the language of the Creator. And as I've been stating and showing evidence of--fractals, the Golden Mean and the Fibonnaci Sequence are universally evident in various stratispheres of life and the universe. Aside from that, classic geometry is evident everywhere.
I don't think God snapped His finger and the world was here from nothing, nor do I think the universe sprouted out of nothingness in a big bang either. Not out of nothingness. I believe the first law of thermodynamics. And I believe the laws of gravity and those of physics. And I don't believe God broke any of these laws, just because He could because He's God. I don't think religious fundamentalists give God enough credit either. To devise the laws of a physical world and stay within the bounds of these laws is a lot more impressive, than pulling a universe out of a hat. Or maybe God just set the order in motion to see what a creative hand He may be and the universe is becoming an impressive little work of art. Many believe that God created the universe for man. At one time the whole univere revolved around us.Pretty important aren't we? On the other hand many also believe this fabulously synchronous universe, natural world, life-- came from (astronomically-unlikely) chance events.
My point is that when one grasps a belief at this end of the speculation spectrum, the possibilities are so wide that one must then follow one particular line of reasoning to justify and verify the one belief. Blinders get put on to save themselves from other lines of reasoning. An example is that of fundamentalist Christians who stick fast to the belief that God created the world in six (24 hour) days, several thousand years ago. They believe this as the translation of ancient scriptures say so. The chronology of the lineage of Christ in the Bible clearly show evidence that the timeline is between 6-7,000 years--to Adam and Eve. And the Bible does say, "On the first day," "On the fifth day." The chronology places Adam several thousand years ago within the "week" of creation. So where is truth?
Obviously, the Earth is older than 6-7,000 years old. Geology proves it easily with layers of sediment. Fossils and carbon-date testing show millions of years of life on Earth. The stars in the heavons above testify everyday as the visibility of them is a peek into ancient history with the light from some stars taking millions of years to travel space to reach Earth. So does this prove creationism as false, the Bible wrong?
I don't think so. We have scientific fact that the universe and Earth is [much] older than several thousand years ago. Fact. In this fractal examination, as we are yet assuming a creative force for the creation of the universe and a spritual realm along side the physical one, I'm going to give scriptures a fair amount credibility. If there is a spirtual creative force that created this infinte and synchonous universe, I think God can manage to communicate with us if He so choose, this being a later examination. So what is the Bible saying of creation then? Six days?
