Before we go too infinite or go back too macro, let us examine a fractal comparison of the individual unit with that of the cellular, family and national. For example a person's skin could be compared to the plasma membrane of a eukaryotic cell, as well as to the exterior siding of a house and the borders of a country. This could also be compared to the atmosphere of the planet. The geometric fractal model reflects this analogy by showing the same patterns reoccurring in various locations and at various levels.

A person's brain, which controls bodily functions and stores memories, is within the same fractal set as a cell's nucleus, which controls a cell's activities and stores hereditary information. Likewise, a federal government controls the activities and politics of the nation, as well as stores its national treasures and archives. Ribosomes in the cell, the site of protein synthesis is akin to pituitary glands in the individual and the manufactuing complexes at the national level. Do nebulas in deep space, churning star dust into stars reflect this fractal set, as well?

Compare the mitochondria at the cell fractal, converting chemical energy for cell metabolism to that of an individual's digestive system or the nation's farms and power plants, converting natural resources and raw materials into food and other energy sources. Lysosomes, defending the cell from dangerous bacteria and foreign debris serves as does the body's immune system or the armed forces of a nation. Is it coincidence that the Jovial planets also serve the role of defending the solar system from foreign objects with their powerful gravitational pulls? What is it that safeguards the Milky Way?

Microfilaments, microtubules and intermediate filaments provide the cellular structure and cell movement of internal cell parts as the skeletal and muscular systems provide structure and mobility of human body parts and various systems (circulatory, lymphatic) move various components through an individual. House systems such as plumbing moves water, air conditioning and heating units move air within the family fractal while framing provides the dwelling structure. Highways and railroads provide national systems for transportation parts and materials. Gravitational orbits move celestial objects along solar and galactic paths.

Cilia and flagella provide the locomotion for cellular organelles, as legs do for the body and automobiles for the family. Mass transit systems transport even larger fractal units.

In the geometric fractal we examined how self-replicating patterns change, sometimes entirely and sometimes they reappear later. This deviation happens incrementally, but reappears as the same original in an entirely different facet. Or sometimes the changes, incremental, are evolutionary as genetic change is. And, in evolution these changes can happen slowly over time, as in natural selection; or more abruptly as by an event as punctuated equilibrium and genetic drift both demonstrate.

Now that we looked at fractals of life in various levels, let's lift off the ecliptic plane and and look at fractals of life multi-dimensionally and add that second, tubular Golden Spiral. We've seen how nature utilizes the properties of the Golden Mean and the Fibonnaci Sequencing at many different levels and functions. Should we expect the invisible to be any different?
