The old woman, really a mean,
old witch, had smelled the children
from afar and seduced Hansel and Gretel
to her gingerbread house with plans to
eat them. Touched by the children's
integrity and honesty, the witch's cold,
hard heart melts and she invites them
inside to feed and care for them.
