Holley's Digital Media Resources / Product Photography CD-ROMs

After the success of the Digital Media Resources CD, the function was transferred to the new Holley website, launched Fall 1996, where updates could be placed and retrieved immediately. Nonetheless, the demand for the availabilty of all product photography within a single CD-ROM was still high.

The Holley Photo CDs became an immediate staple to Holley's marketing arsenal. Holley was acquiring various companies and continuously updating their own products, so that a constant need was required to update the CDs. A solution like DMR was just too costly for changes that were happening not annually, but monthly and sometimes weekly. Dozens and sometimes hundreds of CDs were being shipped at a time. CyberAlley took a platform-independent, HTML-based approach to the solution, creating a simple and easy to use interface, segmented to the main product lines. This allowed drop-in updatability. When the website got updated, so did the CD archive, allowing-- CD-on-demand. This model has proved useful and reliable from 1997 through 2003 when the website went in-house.
