Main Characters

Agla -- An albino, misunderstood and shunned by much of the village, lived as an outcast outside of the village. Agla processes wisdom as well as "magical" powers.

Frac -- or Fraciel, the main character with the story starting just prier to Frac's 13th birthday-- the birthyear of adulthood. Frac is a good person- intelligent, kind, loyal, but also adventurous, a bit mischieveous in non-destructive ways and prone to accepting challenges and sometimes being led astray before realizing the predicament that may prevail. Frac has been an oustanding student in history, the study of creatures and plant-life as well as the study of the stars. Frac's logical mind has been both a blessing-- for figuring out things, but also a source of frustation when things just don't make sense. Frac's 1st Main Guardian is Haniel, the tallest person in Nuemerica, and a great mathematian. Frac's 2nd Main Guardian is Pronoia, powerful in character, yet sensitive and apathetic.

Forneus -- Frac's, main adversary. Same age as Frac, Forneus was a model student in basic studies, with a particular gift to understand communication, language as well as the arts. Forneus is also a very good swimmer and is found much of the time in and around the rivers and lakes of Nuemerica. He began to fall into the Dark Side (unnoticeable so far to most everyone) after a rumored trip with Forneus's 1st Main Guardian-- Morax, into the Forest of Disaster, six months prier to the beginning of the story. Forneus has always been one of powerful persuasion and generally liked by both friends and even many enemies. It is unknown who Forneus's 2nd Main Guardian was, though many believe that to be the legendary Samael.

Haniel -- Frac's 1st Main Guardian, is the tallest person in Nuemerica. A great mathematian, Haniel has always been moderately distained by The Keepers of The Truth as Haniel's theories have often been at odds with some their teachings. It's only been logical and proved fact that have given Haniel's theories substance, thus protection from being outcast. This animosity with The Keepers of The Truth has kept Haniel from being elected one of The Elders though.

Iofiel -- Youngest of The Elders, chosen to lead the Expedition to the Underground Hidden Village, due to the intelligence and practicality Iofiel possesses. Iofiel was the only Elder present in the Expedition, but selected choice Nuemericans for inner circle members to assist in leading the Expedition, including Frac's 1st Guardian-- Haniel, as well as Dina of The Keepers of The Truth for Dina's knowledge of language and Iofiel's belief in Dina's open-mindness and being a true seeker of truth, rather than typical Keepers of The Truth fundamentalism.

Morax -- Forneus's 1st Main Guardian, a Nuemerican gifted in the reading of the stars and an unusual understandering of nearly everything. Morax, when young, was looked upon by the Elders as an upcoming leader of Nuemerica and had all the qualities of a fine and wise leader and was thus given all the priviledges. Morax's early excursions into the Forest of Disaster which is strictly forbidden, was the cause of the fall from grace of the Elders. Morax's behavior also began to change then, though nothing could concretely be said or proved of any wrong-doing or ill-intent. Morax has been very bitter toward the Elders ever since.

Raziel -- Frac's best friend. Raziel is smart, extremely good-looking, and a great one to tell one's secrets to. Forneus is extremely jealous of Raziel and as children, once hid Raziel's finished Book of Magical Studies within an underground sea cavern hoping to disgrace Raziel before the Keepers of The Truth for unfinished school work. Aziel, the youngest of the Five Judges had heard rumors of this misdeed and tricked Forneus into retrieving Raziel's scholarly work. Raziel has always been a true friend to Frac for seeing the honesty and good-heartedness in Frac and by showing wisdom to Frac's sometimes impulsive emotionalism and has been a greater teacher to Frac than even The Keepers of The Truth. Raziel, when younger, was once repremanded for questioning Dina, a teacher of language, and while waiting for three days outside of the Inner Chamber for The World One to extoll punishment, came across the Scroll of The Mysteries of The World. For three days, Raziel devoured the knowledge in the writings, including half of the Keys [to the mysteries of the world], which are not even reveal to no one other than The World One and select Keepers Of The Truth. Frac was the only one Raziel ever shared this secret with. Psisya is Raziel's 2nd Main Guardian.

Samael -- No more than folklore to most people, legend has it Samael was born close to the center of the Forest of Disaster, near where the skies glow green. Rumor has it that Morax had met Samael on an excursion into the Forest of Disaster and Forneus was there conceived. Though there are no official writings of Forneus' birth, Morax claims a two-year coupling in the wilderness outside Nuemerica with Forneus' 2nd Guardian, who Morax refuses to disclose, was killed by a bolt of lightning and burned to a cinder.

Claims have been made through the years of Nuemericans being seduced by one in the wilderness to commit all sorts of unspeakable acts and evil deeds, all attributed to Samael. It is said that "the dogs of the night" howl when Samael passes by.



Supporting Characters

Azazel -- After being badly injured by attack on The Expedition, Azazel took to devising and inventing weapons of defense and attack. Azazel became a scapegoat for the fall of many good Nuemericans as Azazel's demeanor became dark after the attack and refused to bow to any authority whatsoever. Azazel was latter banished from civilized Nuemerica and referred to thereafter as El-Eblis.

Byleth -- One of Morax's inner circle. Once high in the heirarchy of The Keepers of The Truth, Byleth's self-ambitious motives and high-regard for self were the cause for being oustered. Byleth's image of self-importance is evident as Byleth blares a horn announcing comings and goings. Byleth still covets a high place the heirachy in The Keepers of The Truth and is always courting, persuading and persuing alliances to reatain that spot.

Dagon -- An older friend of Forneus. A nasty person. Has not left the Underground Pool since first going to it.

Dina -- A Keeper of The Truth, a teacher of language and Guardian of The Book of The Mysteries of The World.

Diniel -- A playmate and longtime friend of Frac and Raziel.

Hauras -- Accidently discovered the mysterious Underground Pool and the Underwater Wind. Was badly injure, but miraculously healed.

Janax -- An older friend of Forneus.

Jetrel -- One of Morax's entourage.

Kezef -- An older friend of Forneus and younger associate of Morax. Terrible, nasty disposition and is believed to have destructive tendencies, though nothing has ever been directly linked to Kezef.

Marchosias -- One of Morax's inner circle. Claims to be of blood from a royal family that reigned supreme until about eight generations before the Big Bang. Desires to regain that royal standing, though there is no such dignity in Nuemerican society.

Oethra -- Haniel's long-time friend and confidant. They were best friends who ran together as youths until Haniel coupled and became 1st Guardian to Frac.

Olivier -- An older friend of Forneus.

Peliel -- Close confidant to Iofiel and chief of a minor order loyal to the Elders.

Penemue -- Was a gifted scribe who recorded much of Nuemerican history and taught the relatively new art of writing to a select school of young scribes. Different from the tradition of painting symbols on rolled scrolls, Penemue used the letters of the Nuemerican language to created written words, without pictures, in pages of books. This was considered corrupt by The Keepers of the Truth. Penemue associated with Morax's close circle of friends.

Pronoia -- Frac's 2nd Main Guardian. Pronoia is powerful in character, yet sensitive and apathetic. Pronoia was most instrumental in forming and fashioning Frac's character.

Psisya -- Raziel's 2nd Main Guardian.

Raum -- One of Morax's inner circle. Dark-skinned, Raum always dressed in black and had a black bird, a black cat and a black snake as pets. Is believed to possess a dark soul as well.

Resh -- An older friend of Forneus.

Salatheel -- The person who discovered the Underground Hidden Village and led The Expedition back to it.

Shekinah, The -- The "Liberating Guardian of the Ages" of lore, who watches over the just of all ages. It was the Shekinah who protected the Remnant from the Big Bang.

Tau -- An older friend of Forneus.

Zaren -- A genius, passionate with avenging overtones.

Zavebe -- An older friend of Frac and Raziel.

Zavo -- The World One's real name.
